7/2010 – Earle relocates main headquarters – In July Earle relocated their main headquarters to a spacious location in the Donato complex on Route 34 in Wall, NJ. The new office space was necessary to accommodate the growth of Earle’s operations. Included in rebuild of the new location is the training facility which houses The Earle University.
5/2010 – Earle Sponsors Team Earle for Relay of Life event in Bayville - On May 15th, Team Earle gathered for the third year at the Relay for Life Event held at Veteran’s Park in Berkeley Township. Through combined efforts, Team Earle raised nearly $3000 for the American Cancer Society.
4/2010 – Earle University Opens - Earle has created a formal Career Development Program for Managers, Foreman and Supers. The objectives of the program are to further enhance and strengthen the leadership skills of our Managers, Foreman and Supers. Creating a Culture of Excellence was the first session with our Foreman and Supers, which will be followed up throughout the year with topics for both Managers and Foreman/Supers such as Effective Communication,
Performance Management and Coaching, Training and Delegation. The Earle Human Resources Department has been very busy creating this flagship program which will helping to bring our leaders to the next level in their careers.
3/2010 – Earle promotes seasoned foreman to Super position – Earle Asphalt promoted Jerry Brown, an eleven year employee of the company, to position of Super. Supers are responsible for the day to day activities of foreman, assuring that all goals are met. All Supers and Foreman are active on the Career Development Program through the Earle University.
12/2009 – Earle inducts three employees into the 10/40 Club - 2009 marked the 41st anniversary of The Earle Companies and saw three employees celebrating 10 Years of Tenure with the company. Jerry Brown, Jay Iovino and Luis Silverio were honored at a dinner held at Stella Marina in Asbury Park, NJ. Each of the honorees was presented with company rings and a commemorative plaque. Congratulations to all!
12/2009 – Earle adopts children at a local shelter and helps to create a memorable Christmas – The Earle Companies adopted the children in the Jersey Shore Youth Center for Christmas 2009. We provided all children in the shelter on Christmas Day with a shopping spree of gifts in order to give them a Christmas they wouldn’t soon forget. Gifts were presented under their tree on Christmas morning, including gifts for the Center itself, giving
the children a very memorable day.
12/2009 - Earle Asphalt wins NAPA 2009 Quality in Construction Award for Resurfacing of 195 – Earle Asphalt was awarded with the 2009 Quality in Construction award for the Resurfacing of Route 195 Eastbound between Ivanhoe Brook (MP 12.03) and Route 9 (MP 27.14) which was completed during 2008. The project consisted of placing over 120,000 tons of hot mix asphalt and involved Milling, Paving, Curb Replacement and upgrading of the Guardrail. Earle
Asphalt had nearly perfect Air Void and Compaction Results, the very high level of rideability that was achieved, and being completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
10/2009 – Earle forms Employee Council – The Earle Employee Council was formed as a means of soliciting suggestions from all employees via designated representatives who then report the feedback to management on a regular basis. Council Members serve as advocates for employees across all departments of the company, meeting bi-monthly to discuss issues such as benefits and company policies, amongst other things.
7/2009 - Earle Sponsors Team Earle for Relay of Life event in Lacey - On July 21st , Team Earle gathered for the second year at the Relay for Life Event held in Lacey Township. Through combined efforts, Team Earle raised over $6000 for the American Cancer Society.
4/2009 – Earle Asphalt Company awarded Garden State Parkway Widening Project – In April of 2009, Earle Asphalt Company was low bidder for the Garden State Parkway project to widen the roadway from Mile Post 63 to 70 in both the Northbound and Southbound directions. This is the largest project that Earle Asphalt has been awarded to date.
03/2009 - Earle crews begin construction of Van Dyke Road and Greenwood Avenue over CSX Rail Line in Hopewell Township, NJ. This project will take approximately 2 years to complete.
3/2009 – Earle Companies annual Start Up Meeting - The Earle Companies annual Start-Up Meeting was held on March 3rd at the Freehold Gardens Hotel. The mandatory meeting is attended by all employees within the company. Employees are updated on industry outlooks, Organizational Goals, and summarized our successes for 2008 as well as a list of anticipated achievements for the upcoming 2009 Season. Breakout sessions are conducted on educational classes
which included Safety Training, Maintenance and Field Support, Human Resources Overview, Benefit Reviews, as well as Sexual Harassment Training. Guest Speaker Dr. James Proodian educated employees on the importance of fitness and nutrition and the impact that it has in our daily lives.
12/2008 - The Earle Companies induct 5 employees into the 10/40 club. This year marks not only the 40th anniversary for the Earle Companies, but also the 40th anniversary of our very first employee, Grace VanAartrijk. In addition, employees Irwin Lugo, Wayne Maigis, Andrew Boden and Diane Marotta celebrate 10 years with Earle. All employees were recognized at our 2008 End of Year Celebration. The men were presented with company rings
and Diane was presented with a company bracelet. Grace was given a surprise party in April and was presented with a BMW Convertible as a token of our appreciation for her hard work and dedication throughout 40 years. Congratulations to all!
10/2008 - Earle participates in assisting home building with Habitat for Humanity. Members of The Earle team gathered in Keansburg, NJ to assist with building a home with Habitat for Humanity.
10/2008 - The Earle Companies participates in National Disability Mentoring Day. On October 15th, The Earle Companies participated in National Disability Mentoring Day (DMD). DMD is a national program that promotes career development for students and job-seekers with disabilities through job shadowing and hands-on career exploration. A tour of the operations of our Jackson Asphalt Plant was afforded to 5 students and 2 teachers from the Jackson School
District.
08/2008 - The Earle Companies holds Mid-Year Meeting. The Earle Companies hosted their first ever Mid Year Meeting at the Eatontown Sheraton. All employees attended the meeting which communicated changes in the new health plans, updated all on the economic forecast and workload, and ended with a training segment on the companies Code of Conduct and Ethics.
07/2008 - Walter R. Earle inducted into the New Jersey Asphalt Pavement Association Hall of Fame. Walter R. Earle was inducted into the NJAPA Hall of Fame on July 17, 2008 being recognized for his commitment and accomplishments in the Asphalt Industry.
07/2008 - Earle sponsors two teams for Relay for Life. On July 30th, employees of The Earle Companies gathered at the Relay for Life Event held in Lacey Township. Through combined efforts the two teams raised over $3500 for the American Cancer Society.
06/2008 - Earle Companies hosts a tour of Jackson Asphalt Plant for Boy Scouts. On June 16th, Jackson Boy Scout Troop Den 2, Pack 104 gathered at the Earle Asphalt Plant and were given a tour of the facility in order to educate the boys on Earle’s various operations including asphalt testing, asphalt production and trucking operations.
04/2008 - Walter R. Earle inducted into High School Hall of Fame. Walter R. Earle was inducted into the Freehold Borough High School Hall of Fame on April 17, 2008. Walter was recognized not only for his accomplishments in business but also for his commitment to his community and church. The ceremony was held at Battleground Country Club and was attended by the entire Earle family, in addition to several close relatives and Earle employees.
03/2008 - Earle conducts annual Startup Meeting in Freehold. All Earle employees are required to attend this annual meeting. Seminars are held on Safety, Equipment Care, Health Benefits, 401K concluded by a General Session where all crews are welcomed back by TJ Earle and informed of the 2008 Objectives and forecast.
02/2008 - The Earle Companies celebrates 40 years in business. 2008 marks 40 years since Walter R. Earle began The Earle Companies.
12/2007 - The Earle Companies induct 2 employees into the 10/20 club. This year marks the 10th anniversary for employees Wayne Salmons and Chris Wehrenberg. Both employees were recognized at our 2007 End of Year Celebration and presented with company rings. Congratulation Wayne and Chris!
12/2007 - The Earle Companies win massive Route 195 Paving Rehabilitation Project. This 100,000 ton project will span the eastbound lanes from Jackson to Howell Township and will end at the section completed by our company in 2007.
11/2007 - The Earle Companies win 2 National Quality in Construction Awards. Route 34 in Wall Township and Route 195 in Howell/Wall Township were judged for ride-ability, appearance and performance data.
10/2007 - The Earle Companies win NAPA Ecology Award. This national award put us up against the best asphalt facilities in the country. With everything from community involvement to ecological friendliness and operational practices we were voted as the best in the country.
09/2007 - Earle Racing and Tim Arre return to the track. After battling equipment issues for last couple of months the crew has returned to the track to finish the tour season.
09/2007 - Earle Crews complete Route 195 Mill Pave project. This candidate for future state and national awards was completed 3 months ahead of schedule.
08/2007 - Earle wins NAPA Diamond Achievement Commendation. This prestigious national award is given in recognition of excellence in asphalt manufacturing operations. Its focus is on environmentally safe and responsible operations.
07/2007 - Earle crews begin construction of bridge MN30 in Englishtown NJ. This project will take 1 year to complete.
06/2007 - Earle crews complete Route 33/34 round-about construction 5 months ahead of schedule.
06/2007 - Earle crews complete construction of Prabasco Bridge in Middlesex NJ. The project was completed 4 months ahead of schedule.
05/2007 - Earle Racing and Tim Arre crash in fourth race of the NASCAR Modified Tour Season. The crash resulted in substantial damage to the car and a badly injured arm for driver Tim Arre. The return to track date has not yet been scheduled.
04/2007 - Earle Begins work on Route 195 Mill/Pave project. This 100,000 ton project will take most of 2007 to complete and will be performed entirely at night to minimize impact on traveling public.
04/2007 - Earle begins work on 60,000 ton Route 539 project in Ocean County. This project is the first of its kind in Ocean County to utilize the latest 19mm and 12.5mm asphalt mixes. The project is scheduled for completion in fall of 2007.

01/2007 - Earle starts Pure Soil Technologies. Pure Soil Technologies is a spin-off of Walter R Earle Recycling Corp and specializes in the handling and treatment of contaminated soils. Like all Earle Companies Pure Soil Technologies is committed to being an industry leader in environmentally responsible operations and customer service.
